prequalifying for a loan

Helen Hackworth

One of the most important steps in looking for a new home is to make sure you have your funding in place. There’s nothing worse than falling in love with a home and not being ready to buy it. If you aren’t already pre-qualified for financing your home, I can help you with a few local lenders who provide a high degree of personal service and are competitive with big banks.

A frequently asked question is how much money do I need to purchase a home. Well, that depends on the type of loan you qualify for. VA and USDA loans require 0 down payment while FHA and conventional loans require 3.5-5% down. Of course, those are the minimums. You will also have other costs associated with obtaining the loan and title company fees. A local lender with experience can ask you the right questions to match you with the best loan product for your situation.

Two of my favorite lenders in the area are Terri Goodloe with Service First Mortgage and Jennie Jones with Legacy Mutual Mortgage. Please call either of them and they will take great care of you during this process.
